The multiple crises Lebanon has been facing since October 2019 put its food security at risk with an alarming increase in food prices because of Lebanon’s dependability on food imports. Modernizing and building the resilience of the agriculture and food production sector is key to increase food security in Lebanon.
For that, Berytech and the World Food Programme (WFP) have launched The Food System Challenge to support Lebanese SMEs working across the agri-food value chain to sustain and improve local food production, transformation, and consumption.
