About the program:
The D-Prize is focused on supporting entrepreneurs who aim to solve distribution challenges related to poverty interventions. They offer up to $20,000 in seed funding to individuals or teams that can scale proven, high-impact solutions in areas such as health, agriculture, energy, education, financial inclusion, and public services.

Key challenges include distributing low-cost health interventions like self-injectable contraceptives or misoprostol to prevent maternal deaths, providing solar lamps to households without electricity, or helping smallholder farmers access high-quality agricultural inputs. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to choose from existing challenges or propose their own, focusing on proven interventions that require wider distribution to reach those in need.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility targets new organizations, often first-time entrepreneurs, particularly those from low- and middle-income countries. Organizations already established for more than 18 months or with more than $30,000 in funding are generally not eligible unless they are launching a new distribution initiative.
