About the program:
The Commonwealth Foundation’s Annual Grants Program for 2024-2025 is now open for applications, offering grants between £15,000 and £30,000 for projects lasting up to two years. These grants are available to not-for-profit civil society organizations (CSOs) registered in eligible Commonwealth member countries.
The grants aim to support projects that promote constructive engagement between civil society and decision-makers, particularly in the following areas:
- Health Justice: Projects that advocate for equitable healthcare access and engage marginalized communities.
- Freedom of Expression: Initiatives that support free speech, media freedom, and civil society’s role in governance.
- Climate Justice: Efforts that focus on including vulnerable groups in climate policy, addressing root causes of climate injustice, and promoting corrective justice for environmental harm.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be from eligible Commonwealth countries.
- Organizations must have at least three years of experience in participatory governance or advocacy.
- Projects should aim to influence policy through constructive engagement with decision-makers.
